Everlast Power Plasma 82i (two month review)

I cut everything at 45 amps so 40 amp tips from you might be small enough for me.
I will see how it all pans out

Wow, you guys were busy today.

I can confirm from the seller…

“It does come with a machine torch and 25 lead”

No. Yes but no. I trashed mine and that was with water at the brim.

You can get a way with it if you leave lots of slag in the bottom, put down a sacrificial plate of 1/8, so long as water can get under it also, or go the route that I did, had a new pan made from 16ga mild, 3" deep, make new stanchions for a 4" rise, and 1" to 1.25" risers for the slat holders.

I did the same thing. I don’t cut anything over 70 amps without the 10 ga sacrificial plate on the bottom of the table. Trust us; low IPM and high amps will cause you to fabricate a new tray.

NOTE - not all the damage to the bottom was at 100a. I ran on 80 for quite some time due to power supply issues.

OK so I have drains and a tank that holds what ever the XR water table takes.
So changing out to a larger table would be the way to go that would be a big job.
So I guess just like always one thing leads to another! I think I might be getting buyers remorse

Don’t tell me that… I bought the last one :grimacing:

Well I don’t think you would have any trouble selling it if you decide to.

Are you using on the pro table or XR?

I didn’t realize all the water table problems were on the small tables. So I think I can get a full 3” of water depth so maybe that Plus a sacrificial Peace will be OK.

Just more things to Research like I don’t spend enough time online as it is

@Knick - Changing out the stanchions is not that bad at all. Put some cribbing under the rail on one side, unbolt all 8 bolts on same side, put the 4 lower bolts back in the new stanchion and only 1 bolt on either the front or rear - leaving them all finger tight. Rinse and repeat for the other side, then you can put in the last 2 bolts, then square up and tighten up everything.

NOTE - you may have to wait on the top bolt until you get the opposite side unbolted if you are going from OEM “Worm Raper” height to a +4"

Water pan is another piece of easy, no seam either. Just use new sealing washers and don’ try to hit the old holes. You should be able to re-use all the plumbing.

If you get a min can you post of couple of pics of your set up?

@Sticks is running a Pro table if I remember right… It would be much easier to mod the Pro than the XR you are running.

That is what I am thinking… I might have to sell it… it was an impulse buy. :grimacing: :joy:

I could also sell the PW and recover some of the cost.

I did get it and everything looked real nice, but its going to be awhile before I get around to getting it on the table.
I have to read up on wiring it to Raw voltage I believe.

I am still waiting on the two wire aviation cable for torch on/off. Seems to be stuck in Calif. over the weekend.

I just gave up my seat for my flight home from a work trip… it’s only a 2 hr wait for the next flight. I’m half way to covering the cost of the cutter! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::+1:t2:

Hmm… I have had zero issues with my Raw pins in my 82i. It does say its low Voltage, but its been a non issue at all…
