What have you done on your CrossFire Pro Today?

Really, now I have to Google two new words @TomWS

And now I’m just a little smarter  Well, it depends on who you ask. Right?

Absolutely not! Every bit of new information makes us smarter! That’s why we should continue to seek that which we do not ‘know’.

I heard “grinding disc testing machine” and I immediately thought…

“I’ll take @ChelanJim’s welds for 500”

Lol. Sorry buddy, isn’t this a running joke?

Isn’t Jim like some pro-welder?

It’s why I never post my welds here…

It is the running, walking, standing joke. You’ve gotta know I was interested when I saw “grinding disc review.” I am nothing without my grinding discs.

Not really. Just more educated (which is a good thing by itself). Smart is about intelligence & the ability to use what you know. That’s why AI implementations struggle with errors. If they’re fed with erroneous “information” they’ll repeat it and build on it. Smart people can evaluate what they learn and determine if it is likely correct based on what else they know and how they know it. They can also easily discard bad information/learning when they find they were misled. They can interpolate fact whereas AI can only regurgitate. You can train them so they bias in favor of some data sources vs others but even there if you get a million references to climate change hoax vs hundreds or thousands of scientifically curated studies, hoax wins out.

Good points, but you will concede that each bit of (correct and new) information we EACH receive makes us EACH smarter than we were before it…

Can we have this discussion in the Lounge and turn this thread back to projects?

Speaking of projects, finally got started again on production.

Which I’m glad cause I haven’t made any parts for production for over 2 weeks now.

The GX went down, had to work on that, while waiting for parts. Replaced that only to need other parts followed by a lengthy and painful install (camshaft position sensors, then after a starter).

All while the wife’s car also went down, leaving me and the kid stranded, repair that just to convince my wife to part ways with it (crankshaft position sensor).

While also making some custom brackets for fitting '00 Chevy seats into a 70’s Ram truck

To doing an install of parts I make on another customer’s truck and lastly, going out and getting the wife a new car to replace the one I donated.

So yep, busy 2 weeks!

I may have to finally pull the trigger on one. Tired of the “arms” of my laser system wiggling to different orientations and misaligning my lines.

ugh, here I was trying to save some $

Richard, might want to update the URL in your bio/signature whatever, still pointing at becksarmory

Sunday, I designed and cut some engine room art for my GR Corolla. Not happy with the red. I think white or silver will be a little more subdued.

I’ve also replaced the font and increased size and am going to cut another one. The “PWR” letters are not very sharp due to being too closes and bold font.

Oh, and the paint job really sucks as it was too cold in the garage to be spray painting.

Basically, I hate it and am calling a “do over”.

Yeah, I might at some point soon. My house has an electric range that I want to replace with gas. I can build a case. Just been to lazy to run the new gas line under the house :disappointed:

Offer stands. I don’t mind to hook you up with a paint job. As long as I can paint it with a batch and I have your colors.
