Links to sites for SVG content?

Hi, I was hoping to get a few links from your favs that you use vs drawing your own.

What I am looking for
Any sites to generate an SVG by typing in a name in fancy fonts ?

Preferably somewhat cut ready. Most of these sites I’m finding the SVG file is not great, theres double lines, breaks etc… and Fusion doesn’t like it.

Basically I need to cut down the time I’m doing editing and fussing with these files so I can cut more and design a bit less. For at least the canned cut jobs.

You can send any image you have to picsvg.com and it will turn it into an SVG file. You may need to massage it a bit to get it to work right with the CAM operation.

Sorry… Didn’t read your entire post. Yep, sounds like you are aware of the site I referenced.

Any font can be immediately turned into an svg with a graphic design program.

Can’t you also just type right into fusion?

Yep almost any font went uploaded to windows will become part of your Fusion font list.

And with Fusion you have the option to either “explode” text into geometry or leave it as “sketch text” with makes it a easily changed parameter in the timeline.

The other nice option with Fusion is the *.shx fonts which work well for those open contour designs.

I think a lot of us hoped Fireshare would become this…

If FireShare wasn’t so awkward, uneditable and devoid of upload formats and email feedback I would have uploaded hundreds of projects over the last years.

Also tried multiple contests over the years to add content to FireShare with little interest.

Here is one example.

And with Langmuir spread so thin in the software department I doubt FireShare will get intention anytime soon.

I find myself extracting usable design elements from projects on makerworld as I ve become more comfortable with 3D files

In Google image search you can define the file type you are searching by adding “fileype:svg” to your search for example.

Nor FireControl, and evidently CutControl for the MR1 guys.

As any computer manufacturer will tell you, the software burden, from both development and maintenance perspective, is huge. Definitely an Ice Berg where most of the effort is hidden from view - or understanding.

Good tip!! Thank you! :tumbler_glass: :tumbler_glass:
