What have you done on your CrossFire Pro Today?

I don’t go down to the gallery as often as I should but I had to go fix the high efficient furnace down there. Took some pics of some of the inventory hanging and some of the stuff still getting finished.

Wish I would have took a picture of the other side of the gallery

No more painful bending for every wall hanger bracket for me…

I will post my design for some gooseneck fingers for the 20 ton swag off-road heavy duty bender when I make them.

I did the same thing for making a hanger strap/bracket for continuous fence. Looks like a little relief cut on those bends would give you a bit crispers corner. Like you said though, as long as they are the same. Nobody sees them.

Great idea. Those could work even for those of us who don’t have a press. I could see using the dies in a vice to bend 18 or 22 gauge without a lot of effort.

I use a arbor press to bend U shaped brackets out of 14Ga

They do sell cheap magnetic vise benders for thin steel. If you really want to get creative you can make your own sheet metal break….

If you do decide to go down this path try to design so you have different size bending bars on top (fingers).

I cut them out of 1/2" steel and welded together in different sizes. For swag off-road heavy-duty finger press brake setup.

I did the same and made some goosenck dies for my SWAG last year. Your design is very similar. Make sure to file the right angles at the neck so they don’t dent the SWAG holder. I also had the issue of getting true 90 degree bends on thicker steel with the default lower angle iron. Most lower dies on press brakes have a profile for the bend to extend beyond 90 for springback. I cut out a couple dozen in 1/4” on my Crossfire and got some half inch versions done from SendCutSend. If I did it over, I would do the lower tip angle as less than 90.

Thanks for feedback…I haven’t done much bending with them yet because I’ve been setting up all the other stuff on my press brake. I added 1.5" & 2" x 0.25" thick angle to the base that came from Swag. I had a buddy cut me the 1’ thick plate for my flat top. I wanted to have a separate setup with flat surface for other ideas I might have down the road.

Here are the dies I made and some filing after the fact. Even the 1/2" laser cut ones have burs and spots in the neck that ding into the upper die mount. I have two notches per die so they can be welded into groups, so having mated groups of 1", 2" etc.

What do you think of this one?

I did 85 deg angle and gave an extra .75" of neck.

@DonP Looks good, give it a try.

Not sure what you’re after but here is one I designed for my harbor freight 20ton. I made it with 16ga steel and welded a 0.5" square tube under it for extra strength. I have 2 very heavy press brakes.

I only got this few weeks ago and plan to add casters.

Sorry it took me so long I’ve been preoccupied building my new shop!

I cannot find the final fusion file, it may have been closed without saving. I do not see the flat pattern in there but this should help you get it going,
