nice tip! Thanks.

That is fun. I was surprised you got a few with all the words spelled correctly. Toward the end of one of my attempts for my wife to make a logo/sign the words just became gibberish.
It is an interesting tool to play with for ideas. You got several excellent ones for John.
My wife hung this up again in the house. I don’t think I ever took any pictures of this completed project and posted it.
Here’s the post from a few years ago where I created this two layer walls hanging.
in hindsight I probably would have painted the area behind the quoth The Raven in whiteCan always disassemble and do that.
It’s probably not a bad idea. I used Chicago screws, also known as binding posts or screw posts to fasten it together. still easy enough to disassemble.
By far the best quality cuts I’ve ever achieved. Who needs a laser! haha I do have some high quality consumables to try out but for now I’m still running the stupid cheep ones.
@Richarddbeck83 It is about time you got that table dialed in… HaHa
Nice looking cuts, a little patience and lots of test cuts will give great cut results…
Great cuts!
It’s why I emphasize, practically beat into people to DIAL IN THEIR TABLE ![]()
yeah, it’s been a couple years now. hahaha. In the past I just cut prototypes and than sent the files to my laser company for production. I decided they charge too much and I could do it myself. lol Now I just need to find the time to “do it myself”
Friend of mine recently sent me a pic of his newly acquired resto project. Had to christen it with a cut.
I think I’ll “let” him paint it to match the paint on the tractor.
Another friend sent me a pic of something he saw in a craft store in Gatlinburg. I couldn’t pass up taking a run at it in F360.
@Kwikfab doesn’t one of your Lunchtable guys use a racoon as an avatar? He may want one of these for a tree or fence post in his yard:
I haven’t cut it yet, but there are no minimum cut width less than about 3mm. I made the mounting holes 5mm and there are some relief cuts on the tabs.

Guy who used to work for me wants to make a Bengals sign for his son for Christmas. He sent me the pic on the left. I changed it up a bit but basically the same.
He is going to cut a piece of chrome diamond plate background and add some LEDs after he paints it. I need to replace my vinegar bath water tomorrow before the soak.
Wasn’t a very clean cut (bevel and some front dross) but okay for what he is making. I took my Z axis apart for some cleaning and…guess I needed to complete some QA verification before I just jumped in cutting ![]()
It is the little things that make me happy
I made 4 of these shims today for my Mini Excavator extendaboom the brass slides were getting thin and the boom was very loose. Put one behind each brass slide. Almost like new ![]()

I don’t think that I have ever posted anything in this thread, but I have been checking out all of your projects on here for a couple of years now. You all make some impressive things.
Thought that maybe I would share one as well, it has been long enough I guess.
A buddy asked me to make this for his mother. She lost her dog a little over a week ago.
I think it turned out alright.
Oh that face is so sweet. That is heartbreaking. As you might guess, I like dogs.
Nice job with the sign!
Thank you, the wife and I love dogs, and losing them is the toughest thing to deal with sometimes.
When I was asked to make this I could not say no.
What is kind of cool is that my buddy used AI to transfer a photo of her dog into a DXF file to cut this. So this is a pretty accurate rendition of Leo. I am not really a big fan of AI, and I am too old to actually understand how a lot of it works, but Alex did a really good job in creating this image.
Plus it is as unique as the actual dog was. It is not just a clip art, which I think is pretty cool.
Haha, thanks. That was an accident. Was hoping it would slide by everyone! I bent it. OOPS
Maybe I should not have admitted that. LOL ![]()
