CrossFire PRO Shipping

@jamesdhatch, @Greg9504, @KSiegel
Thank you. Truly.

Some of the best entertainment I’ve had in weeks. I’m so glad I spent an hour catching up on this thread, I even forgot about packing up two orders I’ve already printed labels out for. Oh darn, I guess they might possibly be a day late. I hope no one gets irrationally offended and works themselves into a heart-attack level frenzy over some perceived entitlement to tell everyone else how I should run MY business and how everyone else should be as offended and irrational as they are. I’d better get on the phone to UPS, USPS, and God and let them know that my customers expect only perfection, and they can’t have any shipping delays or any of that pesky weather or “acts of” messing with the security and comfort of my snowflakes customers. Oh wait, I sell a product that’s extremely hard to find unless ordered in industrial quantities, and I provide support to other backers that were left out in the cold without parts or support for their funding of products that only existed in prototypes, products for which they knowingly accepted that risk…

And a random story beginning in the time before social media: My mom has this friend that is um, well anyway, she drags her husband and brats to expensive restaurants and orders hundred dollar plates for each of them, usually with a group of totally unaware friends and family. They eat their meals and then she proceeds to throw the biggest, most embarrassing, hissy fit over something totally made up so they don’t have to pay for their meals…and then asks for replacement meals to take home! They have plenty of money, and sometimes she even talks about what she’s planning while eating the meal. What do they call that? An attention…hog? That doesn’t sound quite right.

I think one of you mentioned something about ordering a catalog out of the back of a magazine; it brought a tear to my eye. I couldn’t have learned to drive without a Sears and Roebuck in the seat under my butt.

I forgot, are we meeting at the stone rings or the moonbeam rainbow garden next week? Did I sign up to bring cookies?

Not complaining but could Langmuir update the masses on shipping schedules. We have blown the projected shipping dates for order numbers, and that is absolutely fine. I’m sure all of us would appreciate a status update, even if the news isn’t great. Langmuir please step in.

I’m not trying to put down your concern or desire to hear from LS, but here’s the gist of the information without all the drama injected.

The last update was 4 days ago, and was what started the whole argument. It appears that they’re about 2 weeks behind the updated (posted in December) estimates, which is mostly due to events completely out of their control.

We all know they’re sacrificing their personal and family time to get these orders out, and realistically I don’t expect an update until Friday or Saturday when they have finished the last boxes that can go out for the week and have time to read the questions on the forum. They don’t have time to respond if they’re packing boxes, and that’s a good thing. I’ve watched more than one company give up and walk away after fulfilling their orders because of the stress their customers’ demands and of producing a quality product caused them; I’ve been there myself. We definitely don’t want that to happen.

I know a lot of people are anxious, but remember the LS team are a handful of dedicated, hardworking, human beings - with families who need them, and squishy parts that get sore and sick, and brains that worry and desperately need rest…
and feelings.

We are many, and they are few. If you’ve ever been up all night with a hungry and crying baby that cannot be settled, or if you’ve been in a relationship where nothing ever seems good enough for the other person; step back and imagine what they’re going through, doing the best they can.

If you still haven’t gotten a plasma cutter, check out my thread about buying a Hypertherm from a local dealer:

If a new one is out of your price range right now, go hit up your local pawn shops. Unless a machine was just put out on the floor, you can almost always negotiate the price with them. Do your homework though, (e.g., cost of consumables, power requirements, reliability; what’s the pawn shop’s return policy, etc.) Sometimes you can get a killer deal, sometimes you get an expensive paperweight.

Hi All,

By the end of last week we had shipped the first 150 of box 2 and just as many THC’s. Today we will have another 100 ship out and approximately 75 to 100 ship out on Friday.

The reality is that we simply underestimated the amount of time Box 2 would take. Over the summer we worked really hard to create an enormous back stock of CrossFire machines so that we could focus entirely on PRO fulfillment for a few months uninterrupted. We underestimated how many CrossFires we would sell and we ran out of that stock too early and had to take some workforce off of PRO to catch up on CrossFire.

We have definitely made some mistakes and miscalculations through this process but rest assured that we are working hard every day to get the last remaining machines in batch 1 out the door.

And lets not forget, it has been said many times but I want to reiterate the level of support these guys provide is incredible.

I got my table assembled to the jogging Axes via FireControl and I had no movement. I fired off an email and moments later Daniel called me and we squared away the issue within 10 minutes.

If there is ANY lapse in the supply chain it is not due to lack of effort.

Quick question. I was looking at my tubing last night and noticed there was no sticker with Model and Serial #s. Is the sticker in box 2 or did you guys do away with them?

Yes, it is in box 2.

If it isn’t to much to ask can you keep us updated on you what the last order number is that you get out thank you.

#8724 just received tracking# for THC, no update on box #2

I remember a time when if you had an issue with a product or a company’s performance, you would contact that company with your concerns. Seems that now, any perceived issues are force fed to the rest of the world and the offending company is left unaware.

I also find it strange that someone has issues with BATCH 1 shipment dates when they themselves were SO LATE to the game that they wound up in BATCH 2.

Good times… Pass that Kool-Aid this way.
