Yeah my buddy uses that as he cuts larger items; he’s got a 5’ x 10’ table so…
Until I get stainless steel work coming my way, I won’t buy tools I won’t need! But I definitely hear a lot of good things about that thing.

WHAT!! You mean there are tools out there we don’t need.

If you have the tool, the projects will come.
I’m pretty sure they made a movie about that.
Thanks James!! Now I have a new line to use on my wife!! ![]()
Thats what I was going to say!
never heard of such a thing
Jimmy, you need a magnetic 12x12 plate to hold your butterfly while you burnish it. Boy, that didn’t sound good.Super Power Square CNC Magnetic Chuck 12×12” Machine Workholding Permanent Metal | eBay
This thing is fantastic. It is physically impossible to move a steel part when this thing is engaged.
butterflies flying away…who would have thought they do that…aahahahahah
The more you spend on tools, the less you have to spend in bars on loose women. That always works with my wife.
@ChelanJim you can tell your wife @Bigdaddy2166 said you have to have just one more tool.
He got a new job now. He can put up his lunch money.
I thought about that but it won’t work on stainless so well. ![]()
You are so right…if not for buying tools, whiskey and cigars why would I want to work! ![]()
And, this place that I will be working is the same place that I buy my metal. Bonus!
hold on here…who said I wanted to be passed around?..
everyone needs a tool…lol…
I have a similar version from Eastwood on its way. I used something similar when I worked at a sheet metal fab shop if a part is too oddly shaped to fit in a Timesaver or if you don’t have space/budget for a Timesaver (which I have neither). I need to install a dryer for my air, that should aid in all things cutting and sounds like it might improve the stainless a little bit.
Had a little fun coloring some 12ga yesterday. Need some more practice to make it a little more uniform.
I think it looks fantastic!
Thank you. I’m having fun with it.
Nicely done ![]()
Thank you!
This. 80-120 grit flap wheel, or surface conditioning discs, like these from benchmark are what I use to clean up my .120 stainless crosses after cutting. I cut at 0.020 torch height, 75 psi, and water as close to the work as I can get it (also why I’m upgrading to a deeper water table).
