What have you done on your CrossFire Pro Today?

I only have 2 spots on that sign. The one in middle bottom is so the sign stays flat and don’t angle down without support.

I use this amazing tool for hanging things at my house. I also have laser level but this is normally my go to tool.

Excellent Don! Yes, I have a similar device that works with two points but could not see how the third point would be determined.

Good idea, Bret! I definitely see your way working if one mount is already established then you have a pivot point for leveling for the second location.

Thank you both for the response.

Although not needed for the OP’s project, you can easily mark however many mount points you need for a sign/picture using blue tape. Typically if the points are on a single horizontal line I use 3/4" blue painters tape. For the OP’s project to capture all 3 points (including that middle stand-off in case that were a mounting point) I’d go with a 2 or 3" wide roll.

Pull a strip across the mounting points with a bit leftover on either end lining up one edge of the tape with something horizontal on the piece. Mark the mounting points with a Sharpie. Pull off the tape and place it against the wall and use that to transfer the mounting points to the wall. Easy peasy.

Maybe you could take some pics to demonstrate

Nothing fancy, just utility.

E-track shelf brackets.

I also cut 32 modified versions of the hangars for steel storage in the Fab trailer that work is letting me set up. Left side.

Some 3/4 Hardox 500 plate cut for a Loader bucket wear plates on the bottom (band aids)

This stuff has some evil thermal expansion. I should have left tabs. This is 25" into a 30" cut. I also did not use the smoothing or reduced feed rate for the corners, did really good. 7ipm

My 16yr olds b-day gift we designed and made together. 4 layers and he got to see how cool this hobby can be to make stuff and hang on the wall. Picture with paint can for scale.

That green is dead-on.

I believe you just earned the label “enabler”. The addiction torch has been passed!

Wow Don amazing work. Hope I can get to this point someday. You nail it everytime.

Thanks…I’m always happy to help if you have questions.

A couple project I’ve done recently. love fusion and the pro so I can make happy customers. First is a fan shroud for a hydraulic cooler. All drawn as sheet metal in fusion, cut flat patterns and formed.

Even got to try out my new table blocks

Designed and fabricated quick attach for a fire skid to go on a Skidder. Known as a Skidgine. 1/2" plate for everything except the 3" tube across the top. Tank can be put on in under 5 min and off even faster. Forest service requires 1O minutes or less

Agreed. You also bring the skills of bending and welding the metal for that shroud, Nice work!

Awesome work on the shroud!

One project I’ve been saying I’m gonna do this coming Winter is build a grapple attachment for my tractor. I have a 32hp Kubota with a 50" bucket. Due to the number of trees on my 14 acres, I’m always dealing with tree removal.

Have you built any grapple attachments? If yes, did you make the stand alone or did the use the bucket and just added an upper grapple jaw?

Seen any good grapple dxf files?

Great site to check out…

@Wsidr1 Thank you!

I have not built a grapple. It would be a fun project and a great use of the pro. I would want to build a stand alone so so you don’t have the sides of the bucket in the way. Also the little I’ve used one I liked having the tips to get under things. Harder to do with a straight cutting edge.

I managed to bang out the design of a few dimensioned test signs that I designed exclusively in 360 (just for grins in the shop), and tested the limits of my vertical brake re: box making. I have a roll of strip LED’s coming today along with a few wireless controllers, so I plan on welding the corners, painting and illuminating. Gotta run my daughter back to college on Saturday, but given enough beer and free time I hope to wrap them up on Sunday. I’ve been wrestling with my next project the design of a ventilation hood for my CFP, issues with flat patterning, but hopefully I’ll be able to resolve those soon. I am already finding that I could use a bit of extraction.

These signs just appeal to me, so understood if your like huh? What I make for others will appeal directly to them and their interests obviously.

Hat tip to those float the side streams “to me” (a brand marketed on Insta too; big fuel guzzling trucks… and their haters)

If your a TPB cult member you will recognize this. Description of my tempermental brake press as well, which is where it’s getting hung

My initial 7x7 to confidence test my cardboard bend template in the brake. TPB’s related as well

That is what IT is all about: individuality. It is something you cannot find elsewhere and you want/need/like it. :+1:

I think I got the original file from Fireshare. I made quite a few changes (esp. glasses and tapper), but somebody else did the grunt work.

I suffered from some wavy line syndrome on the lower half of this sign. Not sure why. Following other thread for possible root cause.

I’m gonna repaint the tap handle before I glue it together. I was trying to get a bit of a wood grain affect, but failed.
