What have you done on your CrossFire Pro Today?

Looks good David.

I have noticed that the implements being manufactured have really cut down the thickness of the metal. Perhaps the heavier grades are still available but when I bought my Landpride 60" box scraper, it weighs in at nearly 600 pounds (circa 1988). That box scraper you were modifying weighs 325 pounds. I would say that really needed some weight!

I remember the weight factor because I had an old industrial series Ford tractor (yellow color), that was about 40 HP. I was buying a new John Deere and considered the series 770 but the rear hydraulics lift force topped out at 960 pounds. I was afraid I would get the sticky mud all caked on this box scraper and I would be stuck! I moved up to the 870 tractor that had a lift force of over 1800 pounds. It was a wise move. That 770 was a toy in comparison.

Thanks. He had been chaining concrete blocks to the top of it. He uses it for a counterweight, as well as a grader, so it definitely needs more weight.

Yes, counter weight. That is right. I always use my box scraper for that if I am going to be lifting heavy logs or other things.

Great use of the plasma table and your skills!

I’m guessing dry spruce or his tractor would be on it’s nose.

Had some time over the last week to make a few signs. All are already designated for people I know. I have two friends who both them and wives graduated from WKU. Two others who are Navy vets.

That’s an evil looking face on that doughboy!

Those butterflies have a lot of potential uses, like flower garden decorations.

Just out of curiosity what are those for? Thanks

Kwikfab your cuts are really crisp

Appreciate the kind words!

They are reinforcements I make for many people on a truck group - here are some pictures I took when I created an install guide

Thats terrible… I did not want to really leave a “heart” on the post but that’s the only options

Just been busy, and took a small break from here!

Some in this forum seem to have been bothered by my posting parts cut on the new table

But yes, it’s been running great.

Working on another stool at the moment actually, not to mention quite a number of people have bought “kits” I never intended to sell!

That’s awesome!

Yeah you’re gonna love it. I’m retired myself and I do welding and fabrication on the side.

Props to you for going the powder coating route - I’ll be looking at a mill at some point down the road.

When was this?

Oh man this was weeks or months back, in this thread.

They were a few indirect comments about how it’s side tracking this thread (even though it’s an on-going, constantly updated thread). Guess they couldn’t just ask me directly?

I went ahead and made a new thread though just to help not direct attention away, in an organized format, only to have all the random posts made here (asking genuine questions) to get lumped over to the other thread by Jim.

Good initiative cause I know he was just trying to appeal to those complaining in this thread that’s all, but badly executed cause they served no purpose in the new thread.

Still, I’m mostly active on the FB group helping people with their tables while directing them here to specific questions like table expansions, table mods, etc.
