Using Firecontrol Off-Line

My CNC tools are in a separate building from my design space.

I use Fusion360 for 95% of my design work.
Fusion360 has simulation for its CAM g-code, so that is all I need before going to the CNC tool.

I would like to be able to use Firecontrol off-line to see that the CAD/CAM is correct before going out to my CNC tool and dry running and running the program for it.

As it is, I can not do anything with Firecontrol without a USB connection to each controller on my Crossfire Pro.

Any plans for an off-line mode for Firecontrol?

Thank you for considering my request.

You can’t use it offline to check program? That sucks

All you can do is toggle inches to metric and back;-)

Here is an offical response in another thread:

We would love for that to be possible in FireControl but unfortunately all of the motion control firmware is loaded onto the microprocessors on the board inside the electronics enclosure.

I can’t say I have used a lot of PC based controllers, but the one I have used does allow simulation without a connection to the machine. Hopefully future versions will.

If you have network connection between the two machines you could always remote desktop into the one attached to the Pro.
