Simple Laser Pointer

Here is a simple 3D printed adapter that lets me use a 9mm bore sight laser ($9.99 from Amazon) on my UPM105. It just slips over the end.

I just made one for the non-SYNC Hypertherm Machine Torch. Thanks for the idea.

Best put a “Remove Before Flight” flag on the nozzle and keyboard or monitor. Ask me how I know what happens when you fire the torch with a cap over the nozzle.

Great! Now I have to go out and get me a 3d printer.

Everyone needs a 3D printer. Some just don’t know it yet.

You won’t regret it. Ask BigDaddy. He claimed he had no use for it. Six months later he bought one. Two months later he said he should have bought one sooner.

Like everything else in CNC, a cheap one will be frustrating and ineffective. Get a good one and you won’t regret it.

I got a Bambu X1-C, and am very pleased with it.
It’s a no brainer if you are comfortable with Fusion or any other 3D modeling software.

I couldn’t agree more! I’ve had a number of other 3D printers and this one is one of those tools that are at the top of the goto list!

Also, as DRY air is essential to successful Plasma cutting, DRY filament is essential to 3D printing. Get a GOOD filament dryer that will heat up to 70C.

The 3D printer is the most helpful tool I have purchased in many months. I recommend the Bambu X1-C. I use it three times a week now.

+1.

I’ve been using the Sunlu S4 more and more. It makes printing so much better. The prints look better, they act better, less weird artifacts, less fails.

Sunlu S4 is money worth!

There’s also 3D printed dryer baskets for the AMS refillable desiccant baskets that you can use in the Sunlu dryer to reactivate them

But once the Sunlu e2 when available I am definitely going to snag one. It has a annealing function.

I think this is the second thing I printed when I got my X1C with AMS. The first thing, besides the ubiquitous 1CM cube, were the tools for managing the units. I’ve been using the desiccant baskets constantly.

Can you share the 3D PRint STL File for the Hyperthem ?

Have you seen the new Bambu H2D ? :grimacing:

you would do better if you offered something for it

I added the stl file at the bottom of the other post. Turns out the forum does not like stl files so I added ‘.pdf’. Hopefully it will pass thru. I had included the STEP file earlier in that post. Let me know if you didn’t get it.

I can share the one for the UPM 105 if that’s useful.

Yes please,

or build your own voron clone
