Razorweld Cut Chart

Looks like you have a little moisture problem. The porch does not touch off right it will cut high which will destroy your consumables too .

You can snap a picture the torch holder the torch in it the way you was cutting. We can take a look.

Start a cut watch to make sure it touches the material before it raises.

so is that from water on the piece or from water in the air?
i have a 2 stage water trap inline but im waiting for my air dryer to be deliverd

Those swirls on the end of the electrode looks like you still have some moisture in the air.

It trying to cut from that height will damage them also.

DO you run a thc? If so what voltage is showing while cutting?

If you are using a hand torch, the Red piece should be mounted like this.

The electrode is not much good and the cutting tip is toast.

ill have to figure out how to record it when cutting something this weekend.
I have to run brewery today and tomorrow, i wont be able to play with the plasma till sunday.
@ds690 I did adjust Red mount to right about where you have yours in picture , I also replaced tip and electrode.
I may just wait till air dryer shows up so i can eliminate the moisture variable.
Thanks guys.

Don’t keep trying if cut height isn’t right that will trash your consumables as well. Not sure if a ground loop would cause a high cut height or not.

well this is totally kicking my but.
I was a machinist in the military 30 years ago.
I have a high aptitude for electronics.
I didnt think i would have long learning curve, but I have been with this.
I have watched over 200 hours of different videos, and i still havent grasped some of the basics of troubleshooting. The most frustrating part is that most vids say to use the manual of your plasma cutter for best starting points for cut speeds and amps and the razorweld has nothing.
I have changed the tip and electrode out. I will wait till i get air dryer hooked up. I am also going to make a new airline that is just long enough to go from the air dryer to the plasma cutter.
cheers. off to play with beer!

Are you using a laptop plugged in the charger while cutting?

Moisture will ruin consumables and affect cut quality but not why you have a high stand off.

Thank you for you service and sacrifice!!! I am also a machinist I have 20 years under my belt.

Everything I cut with my rw45 the cut chart on here has been very close.

Feel free to dm me I can even give you my number more than glad to help you figure cut settings.

Check what air psi is at torch ,70-75 psi is what you want, 110 psi to plasma cutter and .06 torch height. Until you have these settings and dry air you will continue on with failure and chasing your ass…

torch height good. accidently set to .5 instead of .05 yesterday though, lol ,
right now air pressure good but very wet! Air dryer is on delivery truck today. and i ordered one of these to go after airdryer for insurance.

so i will have Air comp, to air dryer , to desiccant air filter, to a 2 stage normal air filter to the machine.
then I will check the pressure to ensure its around 85 sitting and 75 working pressure.

a little information if you did not know…I do hope you ordered a container of desiccant beads…you do know that you can dry out the beads in a microwave…or an over on very low…I prefer the oven myself…

yes i bought the filter that they go in and i bought a 1 gallon jug of replacements.
I may try to dry them out in my smoker lol

How did you come out on this? Making any headway?

Yes, i added the refrigerated dryer, the inline filters, then i added a secondary tank(60 gallons) works great now.

Here’s things I’ve since made!

Go into FireShare and look up the Fusion360 cut charts for 45A Razorweld. All you have to do is upload the file directly into your Fusion360 tool library.

have you ran any of these settings? just uploaded it to my library and was taking a glance at the settings. wondering what torch and consumables these settings were for

They are for a hypertherm 45, right out of their literature. I have a Razorweld 45 machine torch, which uses hypertherm consumables, and they produce very good results.

ive noticed nozzle diameters, kerf widths, and head clearances are different throughout some of the settings from ss, to aluminum, to ms. is it safe to say they are for different sized consumables/torches etc? the only information ive found for my pro (have the UBHY45-6CC13 hand torch) settings were 1" nozzle diameter, .055 kerf, .04 head clearance. sorry just trying to get my machine right without wasting a bunch of material. its been a journey learning how to do this all.
