Not Able To Download and Install on MacBook Pro laptop

I have a CrossFire Pro Plasma Table. I was attempting to download and install the software to my MacBook Pro laptop. A flag keeps popping up on screen saying "Cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer, macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.

I would be mighty grateful to learn how to run the software on my laptop.

@Langmuir-Nick recently clued me in to a more elegant solution:

  1. In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open. Don’t use Launchpad to do this.
  2. Control+click FireControl, then choose “Open” from the shortcut menu.
  3. Click “Open” in the pop-up.

FireControl should be saved as an exception to your security settings, and you should be able to open it like any other app.
