Saw your comment about adding the prime weld 60 . I have cut with mine a few times and then it quit firing. Does the same thing even without the THC.
Any help as to how I may need to run this machine?
You quoted a really old post.
With that said, have you done any troubleshooting?
If not, go ahead and start.
If you did, state all you’ve done.
Assuming you tested it off the table, shorted the barrel plug for test firing, etc.
There’s also more information missing such as, if you get a warning at all or it just doesn’t fire.
I just did the test for the thc voltage. I have only had the table running three different times. It fired two of the times but the third time the torch would not fire. Thought it may be my computer plugged in but unplugged it still did the same thing. I will now have to do the troubleshooting . The air comes on but no fire.
75 psi? Not 55 or 60. Is it wired to Raw voltage? Print out the first
25 lines of G code. Is it a hand torch or a machine torch? Please send us pictures of your torch in the holder. We can help you but cannot do anything without this information.
Last or First?
Sorry first. It was a long day yesterday. Pal
Is there supposed to be a red light on the thc control board?
Send us the information we need to help that I listed above. We will be glad to help.
As of right now, we have no idea what to tell you.
I did increase the pressure up to 75. I’m not sure how to get pictures on here because I’m texting. I did have to put the spring back in in the z axis but that didn’t change the torch not firing. It is a handheld torch. I tried two separate programs that cut once.
I have to get with prime weld. I did put on new consumables. I put ba k on the old tips and it worked fine so I have to find out what is going on with that.
Thats great. Make sure you don’t buy Amazon or cheap Chinese copy consumables.
They sent these consumables with the torch. It’s a little confusing to me.
We have experts here on the forum. On the bottom right is a box with an up arrow. If you take a picture on your phone while composing a thread, just hit the arrow, and you can download the picture off your phone.
I do thank you for your help. It won’t be the last time I’m sure. I’ve been a welder for years but the computer stuff is a mountain I’m going to climb.
Most likely its the electrode as they Chinese consumables or your dropped or did not install the swirl ring.
