https://www.printables.com/model/26618-3x3-cube-puzzle-brain-teaser Family and friends were very entertained with this print over the weekend.I could see timed contests with multiple cubes being a blast.
That’s a great mixed materials hanger, good work. I’m sure glad you printed those protection clips to keep the bottom of that skateboard from getting scratched.
No more printing on my A1 mini. I posted it for sale and sold in few minutes. Sad day!
Uuuuhhhh… I thought you were liking this 3d printing thing.
Obviously selling to fund his X1!
Edit - Who am I to judge. I still make plastic parts with a lathe / knee mill!
I ordered the A1 full size within 10 mins of the launch. It should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. I was still on the fence if i wanted to keep both but figured i would post it. Within an hour I had 2 calls and it’s gone. no reason to keep both.
This is what I was thinking when I first saw this.
Gearing up to place my next order of filament.
Going for some exotic types.
It is not cheap but I want to see how these filaments preform.
I am going to install some ventilation in the office
Really curious how the -CF perform Please keep us informed.
I have been printing some of the PLA-CF and i like the finish, the layer lines seem to melt away. I am also curious how these other CF products will work, will be reporting back.
Check out the smoothing feature for your lines. I don’t have a lot of experience with it but maybe others can talk about it. Here is where it’s located in bambu slicer.
Adaptive layer height works well for curved surfaces, to reduce the stair stepping appearance on shallow angles.
CF filaments are great for appearance, but they don’t add much in the way of meaningful strength. There are lots of test videos that show that layer adhesion is significantly worse with the addition of CF fibers.
CNC Kitchen does a lot of vids on FDM materials and strength. Mind boggling the work he puts in it. All Filaments are use specific.
we’ve created a TinMonster.
@holla2040 - We did nothing of the sort. He is the one who tried the gateway printer. His addiction is nobody’s fault but his own lack of self control.
Are you guys storing your extra filament rolls in vacuum sealed bags?
This 3-D thread may take on epic proportions!
@DonP - Yes. I bought a 20 pack (couple actually) with hand vacuum pump. I toss in the desiccant bags the filament comes with.
@Knick - We will probably have to start another thread “What have you done with your printer today?”
