It's been awhile. Post those projects!

Naw, I’ll still be here as well as the FB group.

I expect I’ll be learning the Optimum software on the new table on my own mostly (along with the tutorial series available online).

There’s only 200 members in the Optimum group and many issues I saw were basic newbie issues such as people not dialing in their setup.

With that said, I’m sure some might want to see the things I cut from it especially when I go in-depth in doing my test cuts and measuring accuracy/repeatability.

I mean we got a guy running laser on his Crossfire Pro

“Don’t put that evil on me!”

As my granddaughter said to her grandmother just yesterday “You earned that Nana!”

Except for the ‘Nana’ part, the rest applies to you!

Sorry. That’s the rules.

What’s funny is, STV provides +1,000 DXF and they’re clean as far as I know.

Not even gonna bother using them cause the hell with signs.

Excited.

STV called me this morning just to tell me my table is getting picked up and shipped!

Should see it here in the middle of next week, maybe even Monday depending on transport (if they work weekends or not).

Crate is 1,000lbs though so assembly is the one thing I’m not looking forward to.

Good gods. 1k# and it’s a smaller work envelope table?

Slightly bigger, it’s a 4’ x 4’ (I had a Crossfire Pro) but they make all their tables with additional room around a standard sheet to ensure one can edge start if needed.

All their tables support up to 1.5" thick steel plate on top.

The table (empty) weighs over 800lbs, so I think the last 200lbs are the crate, and added accessories I got.

Cut 2/3 of a sheet of yard art today.

Also as a side note took my first bike into the bike shop today to get fixed up so my kid can ride it a little before he grows up too much.

CCM Swinger. The guy at the bike shop seemed interested in getting it going. Sounds like new tires at least and whatever else it needs to mechanically function properly

Kicked ass in the shop this afternoon, made my first stool seat, it as near perfect as I could get.

This is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Yeah, finally got our act together with nitrogen for steel welding. Still have some issues but it’s workable and tiny string welds.

Then came home, made fish tacos this evening. Homemade Pico was super spicy, yellow corn tortillas little cheese some mayo. Didn’t make the fish though, Gordon’s parmesan crusted fillets in the air fryer. These were quite tasty for just stuff we had laying around the house.

Good day today.

Hold the mayo but that looks good!

Gave away a ton of steel I had about a few hours ago (to make room in the corner in anticipation for next week’s table coming in), only to remember my friend is coming by tomorrow with his wife and kids. Haven’t seen him in over a year so I baked a pie for them to enjoy tomorrow.

Only snapped a few pics -

Nice lattice work. Served ala mode?

Yep!

Tillamook ice cream came as a freebie at today’s Von’s (Safeway) visit when I picked up the apples.

Just took it off the rack and will leave it covered overnight. Can’t force apple pie to set quickly, and throwing it in the fridge after baking makes the crust loose it’s ‘crisp’
