It's been awhile. Post those projects!

Needed a crows foot no thicker than 0.400" to torque up a custom tool at work.

Any excuse to fire up the plasma!

First time cutting 3/8 too. Thanks to @Richarddbeck83 and @Bigdaddy2166 for the settings help.

Any of you guys running the IR refrigerated air dryers? Was looking at the 15 cfm model. Looks like pretty good bang per buck. Trying to stretch my nozzle life a bit more.

In other news, Ive been selling those tractor packout mounts a bunch lately. Can’t hardly keep up so I’ve just been having sendcutsend make half the parts for me. Boy it makes me want a laser now

Well, she’s partially disassembled!

Just have to wait until its new owner can find the time to come grab it.

Those are some sexy wheels you got there.

Thanks!

They roll way too damn smooth, I may have to add a second wheel with a brake.

Are you upgrading? What did I miss?

Ordered an STV table yesterday.

Not sure on how long it’ll take to ship but my buyer is dragging so it’s still taking up a corner.

I keep thinking when Im ready to upgrade I’ll be able to swing a small laser. The Boss laser 4x4 enclosed unit would be just perfect for me. New press brake this year, maybe laser in a year or two. I think I’m just going to deal with the small cut size so I only have to upgrade once.

I considered laser, but I figured I’d just spend a lot less, get the table and throw money into the backyard.

Spent a healthy chunk buying a Hypertherm, torch, fab tables, and other goodies just a few months ago.

Table was less than $8k

Thats not too bad really. What size?

I really missed out a couple weeks ago, was a betenbender 6foot 70t brake that went for 7k. Was on the other side of the state and I was busy planting corn. Should have jumped on it. Looking at a 4’ 50t betenbender right now. Betenbender is made like 10 minutes from my house, so support would be good.

Sparx 4400 so 4x4.

I considered 5x5 since it’s only $500 more, but being realistic I don’t need to handle steel sheets larger than the table I bought.

Ordered the table, homing kit, fluid additive, leveling feet, and their pc with Optimum software.

They’re hooking me up with their own CPC cable to make it plug and play with my Hypertherm so I won’t need to bother with that part fortunately.

4-6 week delivery so it’ll give me time to sell my current table, reorganize a few things, and figure out for long term where to place a DIY brake.

Ive been playing with making a custom post processor for sheetcam. Cant stand that we dont have the option to use our own rapid height settings. Chatgpt gave me a new version, gonna give it a try later if i get a chance to get to the shop

What is ‘rapid Height’?

The height that the torch rapids at

It’s in Job Options, Material->Rapid Clearance

But its baked into the post prcoessor. You can set it to whatever you want and it wont change a thing. Only way to change it is to edit the post processor every time.

And she’s gone!

Bit heavier than I remember, but no worries. Nothing two guys couldn’t handle lifting up on top of a lifted diesel truck

@Kwikfab - since you are parting ways with the Langmuir table, are you going to step away from this forum?
