And all the seismic rumblings on St. Vincent will mask the shock when the ‘cherry picker’ falls over and drops that load.
hahahahah…ahahahaha
funny guy
In this case, I’d much rather be wrong than right about this…
Hahaha! … Pics for sure. Waiting on some commission checks to come in and will place the order. I’m pretty stoked! Wanted a Bridgeport style Knee Mill since I started machining. Cut my teeth on the Grizzly mini mill, got serious tooling for it, then converted it to CNC about 8 years ago. Got a lot of parts made on that thing, and still do.
New build:
Built a standalone controller/driver for my CNC Rotary Table. Works a peach. Started this build last Thursday, got it all buttoned up by noon today. I intend using this rotary table/indexer with my soon to be, new Milling Machine
your mind is a place i would not like to visit…scary things come out of it…
…and, it’s official, a PM-935TS-3PH milling machine with X and Z power-feeds, DRO, VFD and a whack of accessories, have been ordered. Now for the 2-month long wait… Agony!!!
Nice. I’m gonna do the Tormach 1100 I think. I have to wait until the new house is done though before I have room for it.
Bill (AKA @KX9M) will sing to you in the meantime…
Well, my Big Mill has not even left the Taiwan factory as yet and I’m building modular mods for it already (like how many times can I study the manual? … VFD conversion, Custom Control and power distribution panels, work lighting, etc.) …just hate to wait!
Any chance you are willing to share the dies on fireshare?
@MrWelder, I sent you a message with the file. I haven’t finished the whole die setup yet, too many other projects in the way, so not sure if the design is perfect yet. I wonder if the tip should be a steeper angle to allow slight over bending and spring back. The bottom inside of the angle iron that SWAG uses for their press brake kits is curved as all angle iron but that prevents good crisp brakes.
I’m jealous. Been looking at that myself
It arrives at Precision Matthews from Taiwan at the end of the month. A few accessories (DRO stuff) are on back-order, so hoping the big box of toys will arrive at my door around end of July. In the meantime, I’m amusing myself buying tooling and measuring instruments to compliment it. …still trying to figure out how to tell the boss lady, but i’ve got some time yet!
Ladies and gentlemen…
we are here today to say so long to a dear friend and forum member…
Cletus " The mad Scientist"…he was well liked and provided hours of laughter and advise to those who never knew they needed it…
it is a sad case of not informing the Boss when she catches you dragging a large piece of commercial milling equipment through the kitchen on a plastic skid…
…
…
The theory now is “its easier to receive forgiveness, than to get permission”, so I will drop a couple hints over the next few days and leave the subject alone till the truck arrives. In the meantime, I’m selecting a really nice casket!
The whole “hey babe I’m thinking about getting a new mill.” Then next week “man if I had a new mill it sure would help me out” then the finale … “dam my mill just broke and I’m in the middle of a job. What am I’m gonna do!!!” May or may not work in your case but I’ve tried it. Unsuccessfully that is.
do like I did when I ordered the table, just convince her she will use it more than you
certainly she will…she will use it every day for the fist month…then once a week, then once a month…
but then friends and family will convince her using for his grave marker and going to watch it rust every day is not good…
ahahahahahaha
sorry Cletus…I am in one of those moods…
