It's been awhile. Post those projects!

you guys are killing me…

What are the economics that make it cheaper to send you a whole new machine rather than just the crosspiece for you to bolt into place?

Are they taking the broken one back?

Am I the only one that’s surprised @Cletus hasn’t performed an ultra sonic scan and metallurgic analysis of the structural properties and then programmed a arduino controller to ring a bell across the room when stress levels reach a critical point in preparation for the new unit?

And yes I’m jealous of his skills.

I really appreciate the compliment!

No economics. I guess they just fear a single star review. They did not ask for anything back. I also ordered the replacement part from Grizzly ($11.00) and that arrives tomorrow at my Miami forwarder.

I used the Grizzly version for years. I swear they’re all pumped out by the same factory in China.

Needed an engine hoist to get it up on the bench.

20ga isn’t enough for what I do most of - the Crossfire takes care of the shear function and a 20 ton press brake handles the bending. Just don’t seem to do much that needs the rolling function. They are a PITA to get rid of

My 10-20 year old woodworking machines are Grizzly and they work great. I looked into getting a piece of equipment this week and recent reviews are terrible. They sound like total trash now. QC must have tanked.

I think it’s the race to the bottom on a lot of this stuff - the AliExpress factor. Sometimes good, but so often made for a price point that cuts out things like quality castings and QC overall.

My Mini Mill (now CNCed) and my 9x20 Lathe (very highly modified) are both Grizzly and have worked well for the last 15-years. Have a buddy in Springfield, Missouri with a big-ass Grizzly CNC Mill and he’s had that thing for about 10-years no issues.

I have been cutting Humming Birds. Cut one just to cut! then I had orders for five more.

Toilet seat cover made good back ground for picture. LOL  Made several of the top one, polished up and clear coat, added an 8" steel leader to hang it up. Makes a good light reflector when moving in a breeze. Look amazing hanging in a tree or in and Arbor.

Decrease your pierce delay to get rid of the enlarged hole at every open contour. I did 5 percent at a time in firecontrol and when it was perfect, I did the math for what it ended up being and changed my base settings in sheetcam.

did you build that whole thing?
sweeet…

Negative, I got the basic engine hoist as a steal of a deal from the local hardware store as it was missing a bunch of stuff. I sorted it out and then modified it by adding a 2000 lb 12Vdc Winch, pulleys, charging and control system. I’m very happy with the way it’s turned out.
