It's been awhile. Post those projects!

Oh, Powdercoating? This project was $350 with hinges, catchpost and frame and sign.

Roughly 56” wide 72” tall if I recall correctly.

Another fun project. It’s 38” x 31” so pretty big with 32ft of LED lights.

Are those lights battery powered?

Battery or plug-in. I have used these on a few signs. They can also be controlled with phone app (Bluetooth) which is kinda cool. If going to be using all the time I would recommend plugging in outlet but gives you the options.

My sister surprised me by showing up Friday for my 60th. We spent the afternoon in the shop working on decorative shade for her back porch light. Started with a downloaded jpg pattern, cropped with gimp, traced it using inkscape, used Fusion 360 for sheet metal 3D design/flat creation, then sheetcam, fire control, wire wheel, scotch brite, pan brake, powder coat then bake. 2 hours later, we had a beautiful back porch light cover. She did most of the work and it turned out simply beautiful. She’s never used a plasma cutter, grinder, brake or powder coating. She already working on another design.

I love the spray booth, and the fact that you got the misses involved!

Looks great….When you say “traced” did you use trace bitmap? And save it as SVG and bring to fusion.

Correct, used gimp to select the ‘black’ in the image and saved. opened in inkscape for trace bitmap.

Never won one of these type of contests, I guess I will start off with “What did I win?” and will I need to pick it up or will it be shipped?
Thank you so much I have never won anything before!

Could have at least given out one of these :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::joy:

For some reason the participant text didn’t make it… you will just have to imagine it.

So this took a while and a bit of welding on 1" square tube. My daughter wanted a laundry table to fold clothes on that hang up stuff for her laundry room for a birthday present. I decided to use my crossfire for some simple designs to make it pop

I am retired and thought about doing this kind of stuff for a part time business but honestly for the time and materials I put in this I would have to charge over a gran for this piece. I don’t know how you guys that do this for a living make ends meet …I will say I am happy that I have my crossfire …just wish it was a little wider …ran into a problem with one panel only being able to cut 24 inches but as you can see I improvised and it looks ok to me

It sure beats any laundry folding table I’ve ever seen!

Some folks are just happy to have the capabilities to create things and maybe make alittle cash to buy the next machine.

I think it looks fantastic! You should give index cutting a try and play around with it. Below is good video to watch. Once you do it a few times it’s pretty easy.
