Finally finished. This is made with 16 gauge mild steel. I was going to put spacers between the layers but thought it made the red more subdued so I sandwiched it together. I had also intended to paint the background black for the lettering but I liked how the red looked. Easier to paint, as well. This is 20" across. (Just before I took this picture, my dog came up and looked at it and then stepped her dirty paw right in the center. You might see some dirt if you look closely.)
Stamp of approval, I’d say!
So yesterday my buddy asked if i could make some metal brackets for the can am linq. the issue is they have a taper
16 layers of 16ga steel and sucess…lol
I believe he plans on welding them on a trailer. These locks are pretty slick units with the quick release option is nice.
What his the diameter of those holes for the fasteners?
Below is what my brackets used but i believe there are a lot of other attachements that should work.

I use center line for cutting. I think most people default to left. I made up two of them for my buddy. Cleaned dross on all of them screwed them down tight on 4x6 and welded them up all sides for him. He’ll finish them up but these quick release are sweet for all kinds of things. I’m sure you could use thicker steel and cutdown on the number but this was just to see if i could do it. Just fun on Sunday.
Deer address hanger for post | FireShare | Langmuir Systems
Somehow I got into address sign making. I made an Elk for cousins new house and made bear for myself and now this monster deer for stepdad. Never seen him so happy.
Only issue i have is my Bear is tiny so might have you make it this size…bigger is better in this situation.
If someone wanted a cool custom thing to sell this might be it. I used 3" reflective tape from amazon which double strip because the number are around 4" tall.
You come up with some great ideas:
That is a great deer pose.
Excellentia!
@rat196426 That looks one hell of a fun project!
Verra nice! ( I pity your kidneys)
@rat196426 You need to bring that project up by me for all the M61 trails. Rocks and valleys is about 45 mins away and people love it.
Thanks guys, building this for a customer one off build. I have been designing a 2 seat and 4 seat using bend-tech software that will have small block ford engines. The customer didn’t want to wait for my designs to be done so he paid me for a one-off design with his ideas he wants.
Waiting for the coil over shocks to arrive, will have 20" inches of suspension travel so should be a pretty smooth ride?
Actually, The ride in the Land Rover is not too bad on the road. I really like driving it and use it every weekend. It gets a lot of looks, positive comments, and purchase offers.
unlike the driver of the vehicle…hehehehehehe
sorry my friend…
Quite true, quite true!
Spacers, actually. Because the back of my truck has a lift (about 2") I made this spacer to mount the air bags on so they wouldn’t stretch beyond their ability. Firestone makes something similar, but it’s really hard to find.
when can I come to help in trade for instruction? very nice!
Would you be willing to share the DXF for those chickens? The wife would love those!
