Thanks @brownfox
I have a few friends big into quality sound who say the best sound comes from tubes vs. electronics. @Cletus could probably say what’s what.
You know what they say: “The weakest part of the car is the ‘nut’ holding on the steering wheel.”
But @Cletus, I would never disparage your success with this project. What a great job.
Amazing job with the John Deere sign.
I know the heavy plate is expensive but it really makes for a fantastic image. The three dimensional aspect is not seen with the 16 gauge material. When someone sees the delicate carving of the image into thick metal it makes one appreciate how amazing the process to get to the finished product.
Great job.
My Grandparents have a cottage on Crescent Beach. A lot of fun times there!
Finally getting to use my new XR, cut a plain of bend tube clamp and test cut for header flange for 2.8 v6 ford. Drew in DeltaCad.
Header flange will be for this .1/4" and 3/16" steel parts are cut out from.
looking excellent!!
Thank you, finally finished up tree company’s fab work and had to install new siding on house couple months back, now getting back to rock crawler build for customer, using XR to cut parts at last. Nice having a 48" x 96" table.
Very nice I like that color
I’ve searched high and low and figured I’d check here to as I’ve had no luck. I’m trying to track down a cut file or vector file for a particular sign. My father saw one and wants me to make one for him. I’ve been trying to recreate it but it’s a bear. Does anyone know where a person can find a file or photo of this sign. I have no problem paying for the file if it’s commercial sold somewhere. Thanks in advance.
Looks like 4 or 5 different files to me. Would be pretty easy to assemble. I would search for the different scenes then connect them
Yeah that’s what I’ve been working on. The amount of hours that are going into it compared to a $5 or $10 file make it worth trying to track down.
I’m curious if you find it. My guess looking at it as it’s on the sign it doesn’t exist. I suspect that’s how the sign was created was by assembling it the way I described.
Yeah the way the fish has details cut out and the other things are solid shiloettes makes me think they combined different files too.
Etsy has a lot of great SVG files for not a lot of money (usually less than $3.00 US) I have bought several on there (just search on what you are looking for and SVG). Files for Cricut and other vinyl cutters work just fine on plasma. That said, You can also get a good screenshot of what you are looking for and clean it up in Inkscape. Inkscape is not intuitive to learn but once you understand it, it is very powerful.
If you have a community college nearby, you can also commission a starving college student to draw something for you. I have done that as well (cost me a lot more, but the student needed money for school and I don’t have the talent to make what I needed). Just ask for the file in SVG format and you are golden
Every piece except for the the obvious I beams has been cut out of 3/8 steel.
The project is a boat rack that is stackable that will hold six 25’ max boats.
