I'm building a powder coat oven

I use the widemouth nozzle but I don’t have the propeller looking thing they sell to go inside it and it works fine. What’s the link to the Esty you’re looking at?

this is his store name. the only problem i have had is occasionally the check valve will stick. guess it is due a good tear down and clean.

Just a heads up on the parts from Spikes Custom Worx, I ordered 5 of the plugin 1 pound hoppers 6 days ago and other than a confirmation email that day it has been radio silence ever since. They have not responded to emails or phone calls. Nothing has been shipped, as best I can tell it’s a phantom company. The phone number just dumps to a default voicemail that has never been setup. I’m going to give it until Friday before chasing down the cash and cancelling the order. Looks like Printrovert3D is going to be the supplier after all…

Oh man I hate that. That was the first aftermarket ones I seen. I was going to order some a while back. Decided not to when printrovert3d commented in this thread he seemed to be a go get the business kinda guy.

Thank you for the order! (I am Printrovert3D on ETSY)I haven’t had this happen with one yet but if you keep having issues with the check ball shoot me a DM or message on ETSY and I would be happy to send out a replacement. Happy Coating!

@GaltsGarage what system do you have? If you have a Hypersmooth or Kool Koat with the Omega Gun I have a kit that plugs directly into the gun. Let me know if you have any questions!

it is kind of odd for sure. i have sprayed 10 to 15 pounds of powder through it so far. i have only cleaned with air every now and then i clean my equipment with rubbing alcohol. i am sure it is only a little dirty.

I have the Hyper Smooth 3.0 with the Omega gun. Do you have the complete hopper with the plugs ready to use? The parts I ordered from you before worked great!

What size containers would be ideal? Can I use a 32oz container?

I have not used a container that large so I am not sure how well it would work. I use a 20oz container for most of my personal hoppers. 32oz might be too large to fluff the powder properly and get too heavy when filled with powder.

Do you have a link to the jars you use? I’m seeing 16oz and 24oz all over the place on Amazon but no 20oz. Would 24oz work? I did get the order cancelled last night so I’m ready to order some of your hardware.

I use usplastic.com 625cc PET packer jars, only because I had a bunch of them from my Eastwood Dual Voltage System. I have a few customers using Uline S-18071 wide mouth jars and they are really happy with them.

It seems to me like taller skinnier jars would work better, I know in my jars when you get to the bottom inch or two they will no usably flow powder. I’ll take a look at both of those thanks!

Just ordered 10 of those hoppers from you jone6881!

The kits I ordered from you just arrived! I’ll be setting them up and possibly using them tomorrow. I think my next video will be your kits. Pretty excited, I already have the jars ready to go so I should be able to get all of them done tomorrow and I actually have a part that’s ready for powder so fingers crossed I can get the video out by Sunday night. Thanks for the super fast service by the way! I went with different jars than the U-line, I think the ones you recommended are out of production but I found what should be a very suitable replacement.

Just saw your last two messages on here, no limit on the buy 5 get 1 free. Glad your kits arrived, reach out if you have any questions. There should be a business card in your package, shooting me a quick text is usually the quickest way to get a response. Thanks!!

Already done editing the video, I’ll post it probably later tonight when YouTube finishes processing the 4K.

I also just bought some of those fittings (the universal type) to convert my HF PC jars to fit the royal coats PC gun I just bought. I was able to get 3 standard and 3 shorty’s on the 5+1 sale.

The first one was a fail. I hand tightened it and checked for leaks and was leaking from the bottom so I tightened a lil more at a time until no leaks but I must’ve stressed it out and it eventually gave out…

The 2nd one I just applied as small amount of hot glue on the bottom and tightened it until snug, let it dry and works great.

The gun has a screw on connector on the bottom not a quick disconnect like others but royal coats makes a screw on barb connector to use with 1/2 hose. I just cut a piece of the hose to connect the gun and jar together. The bards on the printrovert fitting are a lil too small for 1/2 hose and didn’t grab it tight so I had to use a hose clamp to keep it secure.

All in all thought, they are great fittings. I’ll get more as I get more variety of powder.

Thank you for the order, shoot me a DM with your address and I will get a replacement sent out ASAP. The o-ring should be enough to seal, but I have had a few odd ball jars that I had to smooth out flashing lines on the bottoms to get them to seal properly.
