I am struglining to get my torch to fire Crossfire pro with razorweld 45 (Solved)

He reported getting about 1300ish with Fine Cut, which Hypertherm reps themselves confirmed is pretty good.

Fine Cut have a lower pierce count expectancy versus the regular cartridges.

I don’t recall exactly on the regular cartridge but know it was some 1800 or more when running mild? 2000?

He’s been doing a lot of aluminum lately and I haven’t visited him in some weeks

I’ll go one of these days and get you some hard numbers later

When I get 1300 to 1500 even if cuts are still good they have earned my respect. I usually go ahead and put in fresh ones… I did run the copper plus electrode up to 1800. I understand going to the end of life on consumables isn’t the best for your torch.

Yeah seeing those numbers from Hypertherm users just makes me feel good I’m getting some great life (out of my electrodes at least) for the cost.

I have a cheap torch, on a cheap plasma cutter, and I’ve read about people getting 400 pierces per set and I’m just like…holy shit that sucks

Then again we have the whole air setup, geographic location, and more to consider.

My own test later will just be to cure my own curiousity and later, I can share it with the group that uses the same torch I do.

Have to say, the nozzles from ATTC just feel slightly heavier and actually measuring them shows they’re 1 gram more.

Sure, it’s such a minor difference but I only measured them because it’s what we’d do for our casings and projectiles when shooting between 2,000 to 3,000 yards.

How is the STV table holding up for your friend? I looked into STV 4x8 table but went with XR table because my crossfire pro table worked flawless for me.Stuck with Langmuir.

If it says anything, I’ll be going STV myself.

I’ve messed with it, he loves his, and knowing what I know about movement styles and everything I wish I had gone STV to begin with.

But I run a Pro and I still stick by what I’ve told others before - the Pro is a great value for a nice sized table and not a lot of money. But spending over $7k it’s easy to suggest the STV over an XR (and I’ve never messed with an XR).

The smallest, tightest corners in a square piece, or font for that matter, all come out super sharp. I like to think I get good cuts already on my Pro but certain things just don’t come close. The Optimum software and controller is what you want, which is available for the Sparx (modular) tables but standard on the Pro tables.

Unless I lease some shop space (which I MIGHT in the future) I’ll actually be opting for their 5 x 5 Pro.

Further investigation has brought about another issue. I wasn’t able to achieve 75 PSI cut pressure only 60/61. My filter insid my razorweld plasma cutter’s air regulator is restricting my air pressure to 60 PSI. If i remove it i am able to achieve 75 PSI. Where can i order a replacement?

How many microns?

Just leave it out if you have other filters just before the plasma cutter. Or you could get a QD tee fitting and take the regulator out and put one on the rear of the plasma cutter.

Hey @Stanno I will go ahead and DM you a guide for adjusting the RW45 air regulator and the contact information for RW support just in case we need to touch base with them.
