I’m other news, I have finally started the electronics rebuild to convert my machine to LinuxCNC/Mesa with closed loop stepper control, nema32 on x and y, and the spinogy spindle. Just waiting on some random extras like new aviation connectors and some new power supplies.
The electronics will mostly now run on 240v, exception being signal (24v, 5v for limit switching) and 5v for the Mesa card.
@espresso-shot That is how I felt when buying the machine.
The stock motors/drives/spindle do give you a way to verify the machine and cut a new motor mounting plate until you do the conversion. I don’t think it would save all that much money at the end of the day, so I’m okay with having had them included.
