Go to use table like any other day and now it

Went to go cut a PART FOR A CUSTOMER just like i would any other day. Turn the table on, plug in the usb cord to the laptop, open fireshare, open cut file and got no movement.

Already performed a dipshit check. Everything is plugged in and on…

Restart laptop. Nothing

Update laptop and drivers. Nothing

Shows movement in fire control. No physical movement from the table.

I get feedback from the led lights in the electronics box. But no movement.

Dont even hear a noise from the motors wanting to move.

Is it the power supply or what?

The frustration is real… you ever have a tool or a thing that you use often. And when you go to use it, you think to yourself.. Hopefully it works, pleasee work please work and you get a feeling of relief when it does what its supposed to? That should not be the case for a $4000 piece of equipment. Ive been sent multiple repair parts over the course of my ownership of this crossfire pro table. Main board, thc control relays, troubleshooting back n forth that goes on for days. Get a different tech guy then have to start the troubleshooting process over.

Dont get me wrong, the support is there. But it would be nice to never have to experience support in the first place because the product just does what its supposed to and doesnt fail.

Pop the cove and check the voltage at the power supply. IIRC 36VDC

you are in the wrong price bracket for that. Even if you spent 10 times failures still happen. Stuff is just to complicated to be trouble free. IMO

Captialism covers all price brackets, yes. If thats what youre getting at.

But when you buy something, what youre saying is you bought it with the expectation its going to break? Doubt it. And if so, would you expect it to break while sitting off, shutdown doing nothing for a couple days? If anything something breaking from hard heavy use, yeah of course. But not the case here

What Knick is saying is, stuff just happens.

My table recently developed an issue but was rectified within a few minutes. Apparently the spade connector was slightly loose in the plug that goes into the motherboard of my controller.

It was very odd as both support and I were scratching our heads as to how it could happen - the controller sits on a dampened stand meant for A/V equipment and has never been moved since installation back in May.

So again, shit just happens.

The day before that morning, I had just finished cutting a complete 4’ x 8’ sheet of 3/16” all without issue.

Does your FireControl screen show connection with green lights?

USB port of computer might have died or is faulty. Try a different port.

That is possible. This is how you would check (article explains checking and adjusting power supply):

If Firecontrol shows movement and the table doesn’t respond, 99% of the time it is a dead power supply. The stepper motors need 36v DC to work.

tested the power supply and shows only .34-.36 volts.

Measured voltage according to the Adjusting power supply voltage.pdf and it shows + or - 8 volts.

Yeah the software shows it is connected. Tested the voltage and it was only around 8 volts

You need a power supply, and not just any old one thst will go 36 volts. It’s a small enclosure.

You can get them on amazon, hopefully @Bigdaddy2166 will see this and post the link that he has.

This one will fit inside the enclosure. Make sure you pick 110v on the side. Unless you have it wired 240v from the wall. If you buy a larger one it won’t fit inside.. 36 vdc 10a 360 watts

I keep a spare one on the shelf. They may work for years or just days. They are cheap Chinese junk. You have no options. They are all made by the same Chinese company and rebranded under 100 names.
