Freecad cam or something else?

I have been doing onshape cad for about 3 years and they don’t have a cam studio. Looking at freecad and was wondering what Langmuir or customers think? Is Langmuir software compatible with it?

I use FreeCAD for CAD right now. I’ll be trying out the CAM piece once I get my mill up and running so I’m not sure how it will go yet. I know most on here use Fusion 360 but I don’t like the fact that it forces you to store your files on their cloud.

I would like to use FreeCAD as well but I think Langmuir supports Fusion 360. The CAM in FreeCAD is acceptable but I don’t know what post-processor option to use that would work for the MR-1. I hope there’s someone on here with experience using it.

I haven’t done it yet but this was the advice I found: Post Processor for FreeCAD

@wheelz if you can update here when you do, please let me know. I have no idea how to do that stuff yet.

I can do that though it may be a little while. I’m working on welding together a custom frame (though getting close on it) and I then still have to assemble my mill. I’m just doing it in my spare time as well.
