Yes I am slow … got too many projects going on … but managed to complete my mobile base for the MR-1, I thought I would post some picts for someone’s reference.
I had some scrap structural steel from a previous contract so used it, although it’s overkill (1/2" thick custom formed U channel and thick wall tubing cut in half lengthwise). I used heavy machine casters that have the screw down feet for levelling. Once the machine is in place its not likely to be moved but I like having the option, taking the risk of throwing the precision of the machine off.
An issue is it raises the MR-1 about 6", so am considering cutting the legs shorter and remounting the levelling feet to get it back down to 36". I am 6’ so a bit higher machine could be more comfortable, so perhaps lop off 4"? Right now the tub edge is 42" which feels high, especially to reach the back of the machine.
