I had same issue and had to read through some of the links posted above to find out if you download the compatible version it should work for you.

This one should work

FireControl 21.1.5-compatibility

Do I have to un-install Fire Control v21.1.5 from add & Remove Program, then install this compatible version? TIA.

I recommend trying a fresh FireControl installation:

Uninstall FireControl from your computer via the Control Panel.
Delete the “.FireControl” folder, which is typically located at the file path: C:/Users/[YOUR USERNAME]/.FireControl
Restart your computer.
Reinstall FireControl.
If the issue persists, try again, this time installing the “compatibility” version of FireControl.

Child process error means that the parent program can’t find or execute one or more of its files.

If your computer has an Intel processor with a H or U designation after the processor type. IE i9 12900U or H it is a powersaver chip. These chips cause problems with the USB connection on many laptops.
