Did you have to do a lot of disassembly of the existing table?
Let me come up and help you with yours @jamesdhatch so I will know how to do mine!
Yours can be the Guinea pig.
I’m hoping everyone will have theirs figured out and I can just toss it on when I get back from Iowa. You going to let yours sit around for a week
You can put mine together if you want. And check your bags twice to make sure you dont forget anything and have to go back to Iowa. Jk of course.About the bags anyhow.
Hanging out in Davenport this week
It wasn’t too bad, but there was definitely some disassembly. I followed the directions, but it’s pretty simple:
Almost forgot, prior to installation jog the machine to either extreme on the Y axis, it’ll make getting the lead-screw off that much easier. I foolishly began with it pretty much dead-center, and had to un-screw it by hand…
Mine arrived yesterday as well! Hopefully I can install it this weekend!!
I just got a notice from UPS that mine was delivered a few minutes ago. My wife will drag it into the garage when she gets home.
Mine was at the door when I got home today, don’t know when I will have time to mess with it.
I got my order in Wave 2. But I killed my Compressor this weekend so I’m now in no hurry
On the hunt for a much larger unit with a better duty cycle.
How long did it take you? How were the instructions?
mine just arrived. making some parts today then I will put the kit on
It looks like we now need to be aware of making sure we don’t cut into the sides of our watertables
If the water table is put on centered, the torch won’t cut into the water table.
Based on the earlier measurements Langmuir provided that shouldn’t be an issue. We’re just getting the full width of the water table because they’ve moved the gantry and motor mounts outside the table boundaries. The head is going to stop before it hits the side of the table.
did not take long maybe an hour or so.
I read the directions last night and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a big deal. I’ll probably take the opportunity to clean up the water table at the same time.
Having trouble getting all the bearings the same tension on the tube. Thers one that’s always loose when the rest are perfect. Will tear it apart tomorrow again.
Keep in mind that it’s ok for only one bearing on each fixed bearing block to be in contact. Both bearings on each adjustable bearing block must be in contact.
