I have not yet assembled the new CFP a customer asked if It will cut a piece of 1/2” stainless, I bought the Razor weld 45 with the machine style torch, I have read were sone guys say it is possible using travel speeds of 11” p/m kindly guide me, Thanks in advance I did not buy this for this intent but again this was the first call I got.
1/2” stainless is beyond the capability’s of the Razorwed 45

what amp machine would you suggest?
Something at least 60 amps for 1/2” stainless. If you plan on doing a lot of stainless or thick metal I would go with a 80 amp unit, like the Everlast 82i.

Depending on your customers’ expectations, you may want to consider an assist gas setup like @Bigdaddy2166 uses.
