I modified my monitor stand to allow it to swivel flat to the machine and added a small shelf that also folds flat. I modified the original MR1 monitor support to articulate to the side but decide I didn’t like the tilting monitor so changed it to mount vertical like a real VMC. 
The shelf allows me to stage collets and tools. Oh, and it looks kind of oddly built because I used scrap left over from a log rack I built for my daughter.
