Send @langmuir-sam an email. He will handle it.
Mine did the same thing and I had limited time to get it assembled so being that I already had 4-40 hardware sitting around I put in longer bolts and ran a small 3/16 (nut size) 4-40 nyloc nut then tightened it up and have had zero issue sine, clearance or slippage. The couplers are poorly threaded. Sam has been great to deal with and will get you the replacements ASAP!
Santa Langmuir dropped our 25T off today. We’re assembling now and found a problem.
We can’t remove the top cover because the press fit rivnuts have pulled loose from the inside and turn with the screws. Not good.
Any ideas how to remove these screws then fix this so we can then reattach the lid? Screw shown is cross-threaded as well.
Drill the head off the bolt then you can install a new one.
This is what I was thinking. Thanks.
Got screw heads drilled out and what do I find? sniff sniff, why its a Raspberry Pi.
I know a little bit about those Pis from this 2002 book.
You are a Renaissance man, Craig.
Are going to crank it up to a 50 ton press?
All better, I was able to grab a hold of the screw nubs and get them out. Tightened up the rivnuts and ran a tap back down the threads. That took about an hour but I avoided getting steel chips in our new machine.
no comment.
Indeed I am. Did you know that I did a Stupid Human Trick as well?

Letterman, you are a Renaissance man.
Continued assembling our 25T today, backgauge. All went well except one the x axis motor mounts won’t fit on the rail after the rail is screwed down.
Suggestions? Sand down the motor mount, grind off the black paint from the mount arm? What do you think?
That does not even look remotely close, I would have them send another.
Unless its the pic the opening looks way to big
shim out the rail ?
