Has anybody used plain old anti freeze in their water table. I drain my table after each cutting session.
NO
Anti freeze has no resemblance with the water additive normally used in CNC plasma cutting with the exception of color
You’re better off using straight water than something that’ll be toxic (and adding no benefit)
Then just use water.

Your vaporizing everything the plasma touches and breathing it in. I personally was shocked out much vapor, smoke, particles are created when plasma cutting. I now wear a half face respirator when cutting and I’m building a new building that will have a purpose built airflow and filtration system for my plasma cutter.
It really is a dirty nasty process in my book
And, if you do a lot of it, you end up looking like @TinWhisperer! ![]()
I purchased an anti-freeze specifically formulated for plasma cutting. Don’t recall the brand at the moment. I accidentally mixed it to be about 3x the normal concentration. I have a pump driven fill and gravity drain system into a plastic RV tank so I can fill and drain the system with a switch. I have added extra water several times but never more anti freeze. Our weather is not extreme but we get freezing weather many times in the winter and have not had a single problem. Note that my table is in a well ventilated area so I don’t worry much about fumes.
