Anyone have any experience with this WEN Air Filtration system? The black dust is driving me insane, if this was mounted right above the table would it pull enough of a draft to capture the dust particles?
@KevNH It is a good idea to take care of mitigate the dust. @toolboy used one of those at one point. I was considering buying one of those but never pulled the trigger. Its probably better than nothing but Glenn’s experience with it changed my mind.
If you type in ventilation or air exchange or HRV in the search there are multiple threads that discus this topic.
I am planning on repurposing an old furnace fan to use as a smoke extractor/filtration unit.
I also wear a 3M respirator.
I have two of those as Grizzly versions, many companies have these exact same units. Works fine, I have one in my wood shop and one in my welding shop. Filters aren’t too pricey on Amazon. I also use a box fan with a 20x20 filter near the grinding source too. In addition I use cheap nose filters that come in 100 packs from the big A.
Thank you! I did come across that post and the comment of it always clogging up, I do wood work and plasma cutting in my 2 bay garage that’s under my house which is an occupied finished space and need to figure out a cost effective way to keep air quality good for the family and pets. I cant wait for the day I have standalone workshop with dedicated rooms
This is assuring, what CFM model do you use? thanks John appreciate your feedback
