Y-Axis Soft Limit Gap

Hi All,
I am in the process of setting the Y-Axis soft limits and have found that my Y-Axis ball nut clamp mounts are not at equal distance from their respective Ball Screw Bearing Mounts. The Y2 has a space of .156" while the Y1 has a space of .240". That’s as close as I’ve jogged them.

When in its home position, the space between the Y2 ball nut clamp mount and the ball screw motor mount is .368" and the Y1 is .286".

I re-did my limit switch installation and all appears to be well there. But I’m still having this issue. I’m not overly concerned about loss of travel, just that something is out of alignment and will translate into any parts that come off the machine.

Any help is appreciated.

Probably just because it wasn’t perfectly square prior to pouring concrete. As long as your carriage is square to the ball screws it’s fine. You’ll lose a tiny bit of work envelope, but that’s it.
