just purchased an xr. my torch is a hand held do I need a machine torch for that

Congratulations.
Technically if you did remove the z-axis cover you could run a hand torch but you’ve already spent all this money on an XR just buy a machine torch.
@mechanic416 can set you up with a quality torch and consumables.

If you remove the z-axis torch cover and want a new custom status light holder pm me. I make custom ones so you can still use it.

Nice cover! I iterated several versions of those before I fell upon the one I’m currently using.
my version is designed to snap on to the machine torch so it wouldn’t work for the hand torch.
