XinDian H54 Vise Mounting To Sherline Rotary

@AlexW et. al. Would you mind sharing how you mounted this vise to the Sherline rotary and trued it up?

At first glance I saw it has the threaded holes in the bottom of the vise which seem simple enough to use, but also saw the zero stop system which is completely foreign to me.

Whatever you can share I appreciate it!

They make an adapter plate that bolts up to the vise. Those T-Nuts fit into two of the slots on the vise, and then I center it all.

The only slightly tricky part is that the holes in the adapter plate are huge, but I just made some steel bushings which I think anyone here could do too:

I just made the T-nuts by hand on a manual mill, it’s one of those projects that is faster to do manually than to program the MR-1 for.

The same holes in the vise would be used with a zero point mounting system, but I don’t use or have that system. I’m just using the vise.

@djlois I wanted to move the thread over here because it’s far large thread drift from MR-1 riser blocks. Since that is the only thread about that product I figured it should stay on topic.

Most of my threads are about how to modify the MR-1 and void your warranty, so I feel bad polluting threads started by Langmuir.
