Just received my crossfire pro recently, ordered early December.
During assembly I found out that the x Axis lead screw nut has the opposite direction thread to the lead screw, thus not allowing them to thread together. Has anyone else ran into this? Could the lead screw nut be flipped to the opposite side of the mount bracket to make them work? I’m in Canada, it will likely be weeks before a proper nut can make it here.
The lead screw should be a right hand thread. I think its more likely that the lead screw is wrong. I don’t even think they make those anti-backlash nuts in a left hand thread.
Either could be wrong, the assembly pictures seemed to show the threads of the lead screw being correct. The other reason I thought it would be the but, is the nut is a cheap 3D printed part, the odds of messing that up vs. 4 feet of machined threads are more likely. Either way something is wrong.
It reminds me when you buy one of the big bin of Robertson deck screws and it’s like someone throws a few Phillips head into the every bin just to mess with everybody.
Maybe someone dropped a couple opposite handers into the giant bin of nuts?
I have never heard of someone receiving a lead nut with wrong handed thread. These are cut on a CNC lathe and then chased with a tap to produce the final form. Can you take a picture close up of the threads and post it here?
