Wireless setup for laptop

Does anyone have a wireless setup between their laptop and the crossfire pro? What system did you get? How is it working?

interesting…I have never heard of anyone doing the table with WiFi…laptop is only like…2 feet from the box…

Wireless to replace the USB cable or a wireless controller like a game controller?

I use one of these so I can walk around the table, get the starting point set and begin the cut:

Wireless to replace the USB cable.

I bring my crossfire pro outside and do the cutting there while my laptop will remain inside out of the sun.

I guess you could do something with balun USB to Ethernet to wi-fi and then back to WI Fi but, in addition to being a Frankenstein experiment, I’d think the susceptibility to RFI would be much more than wired USB. I have a RIDICULOUSLY long shielded USB cable with 4 huge, ( well maybe Huge) ferrite chokes looped on each end. Works great, laptop is a long way from the table and I have a small wireless KB for jogging.

Just use a Silex wireless USB device Server model ds-520an. I use them on all my machines.

What about using a raspberry Pi as a WIFI accessible controller like octoprint is for 3d printers?
