When posting an NC file from Fusion 360 which values are used. The ones under Post Properties>General or the ones from the tool definition? Specifically Cut Height, Pierce Delay and Pierce Height.

The last box that appears when you post, those values.

Not your tool library, at least not for the settings you mentioned.

Everything that’s on the Post Process screen is used instead of the tool / toolpath.

I don’t know why Langmuir hasn’t updated the post to use the tool’s info instead. There’s a few people on here that have made their own post processor that uses the tool instead, including myself.

This graphic might help

As you can see, none of those values make it to the Post processing screen. You will need to enter them. On the good side, once you enter them, they will be the default for those values until you change them or load another f3d file that has different values.

If you are new to this, you might want to have a cheat sheet with the values you use so that you can be sure you are using the values that you intended.

Thanks to everyone that replied, it’s clear now which values are used. Looks like I’ll be learning how to modify the post processor to use the values from the tool definition. I agree whoever wondered why Langmuir doesn’t correct this in their post processor. Thanks again for the help!
