What's the smallest hole size in 1/2 inch steel

My design requires .41 holes in 1/2 mild steel. Currently getting these laser cut, but am considering a CNC plasma table.

So the question is, what is the smallest, reasonably round hole one can cut in 1/2 mild steel?

I’m new, so if this is in the wring section, I apologize. Any help is appreciated.

I did a few .5” test holes in 1/2” with my pro and the RazorWeld 45 with the machine torch. Holes came out perfectly round, but were exactly .5 on top and tapered down to about .45 at the bottom. With a more powerful/higher quality cutter it would get you pretty darn close.

Thanks for the response. Luckily a little taper won’t matter in my case.
