Someone mentioned XP-Pen in another topic. What input devices are being used to create the drawings and with which drawing programs? I’m in batch 2 and wanted to get going on designs but thought I would get an input device as well as the drawing software but was concerned about input device compatibility.
Just a mouse and fusion360. Though now that im using fusion more I kinda want one of those fancy cad mouses so I can do all the rotations on the models via options on the mouse. I’m running mac for f360 and pc for mach3 (or whatever the new one will be)
I use affinity design and fusion 360 on my Mac. Have an old PC for sheetcam which I feel is far superior to fusion 360 for speed and g-code. I also use affinity design on my iPad Pro so when I need to draw with a pen I use the apple pen. The problem with using a pin is that it uses a lot of points. Excessive points on plasma can be a problem when cutting. I also use a space mouse compact with fusion 360. It is helpful for moving around your project quickly but there is a huge learning curve. I have it setup with Affinity Design to zoom in and out quickly which is a huge benefit.
Years and years ago I got used to the logitech trackball. If you can get through the weirdness phase it becomes way superior to pushing a mouse around. As an added bonus it also keeps people from wanting to play with your computer.
