It is. Just keep moving, and you’ll be just fine. All my old associates who have retired have wished they didn’t. Now, I am not a fan of Neil Young, but the old saying is. “It’s better to burn out than it is to rust.”
How true. Happy birthday :birthday:

My granddaughter makes scratch brownies on my birthday and that’s always the best present!

It may be. All I know is that I was a teenager when you were born. AND, Uh, I had NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT! :grimacing: Honest.

Thanks Dad

This is getting a bit confusing! Tom is Craig’s dad and Tom “is also his own Grandpa.”

With the prototype having been confirmed as a perfect fit, I began production with the first batch of 12.

Cut out a full 4’ x 8’ of 3/16" which I cut out of 2’ x 4’ sheets.

FYI, if you’re poor like me and run a Pro, use a 6" Fireball square for aligning your 4’ wide sheet for full cut width.

The batch so far; 95% complete since I had a tip up during my first sheet causing me to lose 8 pieces.

Been pretty hot out, so this bad boy’s been running hard.

Check out the water! Should rebottle it and sell it

What are you making?

Bed reinforcements!

I have that same Fireball square and two others. I love their stuff. Never thought of that idea. So, stealing it.

Too bad Langmuir doesn’t do sponsorships, could really use a Titan

Thanks for sharing that owl picture; if I didn’t see it I wouldn’t believe it. The fineness of the cut is amazing!

Here’s my latest project; the vertical ends are cut from 3/16’s with a 1/8x2inch “flange”. Please no zooming in on the welds :grinning:, I’m just learning TIG. Wish I had learned before I needed to wear readers!

Beautiful desk

Buy a cheater lens for your hood. Works wonders.

Developing the ability to go from a mental concept of a 3D part, to a fusion drawing, to a (prototype) finished part within a few hours is mind altering.

That’s really nice!

I think there are few here who produce brag worthy welds. I’m also a TIG low skill guy. I say if it holds, it rolls. I may smooth my welds a bit now and then, but mostly I just leave them. I’m decent on MIG and SMAW so I can always brag on those!

Like TIN said, those cheater lenses work miracles.

Thanks for the recommendation; I just ordered a cheater lens. I had no idea such a thing existed. But now I’ll have to come up with a new excuse for my “low skill” welds.
