Water table neoprene gasket

Has anyone used a neoprene to make a gasket for the water table. Neoprene strips are $18-$57 for a 4x36 inch wide strip .

It could be worth a try. Keeping waterpan topped off would be a must I think I recommend welding it. Lot of people haven’t with no issues though. You can contact s local vocational school if you don’t have the ability .

I added this product after it was assembled and did not disassemble before applying. If you were to apply before assembly, you would have an ideal union without leaks.
Sealant

As for the neoprene, any gasket relies on uniform pressure for best results. The way those pans are held together is somewhat irregular IMO.

i neoprened all my flanged pans on xr with no leaks. i did not use any silicone at all…68 gallon table filled no problem

Good to hear. I am not familiar with the flanges on the XR pans, perhaps they are the same. I had no leaks for 3 weeks with silicone.

I put this stuff on two years ago. Perfect seal.
