Happy to announce the washdown hose kits are now offered for purchase on the site. This kit taps into the flood coolant feed line and allows the user to wash down the inside of the machine. Its particularly handy for washing chips off the baseplate, parts, and fixtures. I find myself preferring to use this over compressed air in many cases.
Also, its not clear from the main product image, but the steel hanger includes provisions for both hanging the excess hose as well as the pistol grip nozzle. That way you don’t need to store the excess length on the top of your coolant tank as shown. The extra length makes it really handy for reaching far into the back of the machine.
It’s just a tee fitting in the coolant line underneath your machine. You’ve got this! I have a separate pump that has a pressure switch. When the machine is on, I only have to squeeze the sprayer. Don’t go crazy and spray all your limit switches into the junk pile. You will be starting a new thread. Liquid-proof or not, I would keep aware of them.
Mine uses a pressure pump. The Langmuir version tees into the coolant line. If the machine is powered up, you can use it. Caution: do not spray the limit switches, or you will start a new thread.
Thanks. That was not my issue. It’s the little bracket that they provide. Does not seem to have a good spot, so I drilled new holes in the bracket and put it where I thought it should go. Thanks again.
I ended up splicing mine off the inside arm at the top and left the hose inside… cut it down a bit… figure if it was gonna leak/blow at least it will be inside the unit…
