 Valentine’s Day Plasma Cutting Contest: Share the Love with Your Creative Designs!

This Valentine’s season, we’re inviting all our talented CNC table users to join a fun and festive competition. The challenge? Use your Langmuir Systems plasma cutting CNC table to design and create Valentine’s-themed projects! :two_hearts: Whether it’s a decorative piece, a functional item, or just something fun to celebrate the season of love, we want to see what you can make.

:bulb: Here’s how it works:

1. Design and Create:
Dream up your own unique Valentine’s-themed plasma-cut project! :gift_heart: Your creation can be anything—heart-shaped yard art, romantic wall décor, personalized gifts, themed candleholders, garden ornaments, or even custom brackets for love-inspired structures. The possibilities are endless, so let your imagination run wild! :rose:

2. Upload Your Design:
Post a picture of your finished creation to our “Fire Share” site :link:, along with a description of your project. Be sure to include any helpful details, plans, or instructions so others can recreate or be inspired by your work. Then, post on this contest topic with a link to your uploaded Fire Share project so the community can easily find and admire your design. :hammer_and_wrench:

3. Share and Engage:
Share your design in the comments section of our contest announcement thread. Spread the love  by liking other members’ posts and leaving encouraging feedback. Let’s inspire each other this Valentine’s season! :speech_balloon:

:date: Contest Timeline:

The contest will run through Valentine’s Day season, ending on February 29th.

:trophy: Why Participate?

This is a chance to show off your creativity, share your designs with the community, and spread a little joy this Valentine’s season. :art: There won’t be any official winners, but we’ll all win by having a collection of Valentine’s-themed projects to admire and be inspired by.

If you bring any of the posted designs to life, please share photos of your final projects—we’d love to see how your ideas come to life! :camera_flash:

Let’s get creative, have some fun, and celebrate love in all its forms this Valentine’s season. :sparkling_heart: If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to share them in the comments.

(Anything Valentine’s-themed is OK to submit, as long as it’s made with your plasma cutter! :fire:)

Alright! You win!

Not saying I won’t participate but I am saying my entry will not have that detail of mastery of all things sheet metal.

This is my only hope, Obi-Wan:

P.S. I am truly excited to see that heart box come to life.

Nice work @TinWhisperer , The sketch itself is impressive! Looking forward to the finished product.

I’ll come up with something just to be part of the fun. To be truthful about it I’m not much of an artiest. But I’m going to give it an honest man’s effort.

I an not very artistic so I choke up when asked to be inspirational. I decided to take a stroll on the 3D print sites for some ideas. First off, I want to say that I am a bit conflicted to post this so I ran it by the creator of this topic and he said “Give it a go” or something like that (I seldom get quotes right). :man_shrugging:

Anyway some creative energy is sometimes stifled if too much is given: do you go a new direction or modify an idea. So hopefully this is more helpful than not.

And Another Dark Valentines

May we need a dark Valentines Category

As you all know, I’m not a maker of signs, but I find that some of these designs are quite dark. Valentine’s Day is my birthday, and this year, I will turn 70. I was my poor mama’s Valentine’s Day present—she was 45 at the time, and I’m sure I was an unexpected surprise!

Between my brother and sister, who are 15 and 16 years older than me, I was the one who took care of her until she reached 96 years old.

But enough about that! Let’s look at some good old-fashioned Valentine’s Day signs. Just my opinion, of course!

So… if I am understanding you correctly you asked ChatGPT if it was okay to post here… ChatGPT then gave you the go ahead… Did you also ask ChatGPT its gender?

Smart aleck or should I say Smart Erik!

Once ChatGPT spits out its stuff, it is no longer ChatGPT’s creation. The creator then becomes Tin. Tin is the “he” I reference.

Aren’t you suppose to be at work???

BTW: We have a serious threat of snow in our forecast. That is always exciting around here because 1 inch of snow immobilizes 95% of the population.

As it should…

Growing up in Alaska (Fairbanks mostly), you have a different perspective. Of course Alaska has the equipment to deal with it.

We had snow on the ground that did not leave from Halloween until “break-up” usually late April. I have no idea what their weather patterns are now.
