Are there any differences in construction between the tool setter and touch probe beyond the stylus vs disk? They seem to have the same innards…

I never had or needed to take the tool setter apart.
What is your reason for disassembling it?
I updated my probe to the V2 version and have had zero problems.
The tool setter was “glitching”, for lack of a better term. I opened it up and there was cooling fluid in it. After cleaning/drying it was back to normal.
I forgot why I took the probe apart. I have a tendency to take things apart for no particular reason.

Either the o ring or the rubber boot must have failed. I’d recommend checking both to ensure there’s not an issue.

My tool setter was having lots of issues and I took it apart and it was wet inside and missing the o-ring entirely. I reached out to support and they sent me one ASAP. Since drying it out and installing the new o-ring it has been great.

yeah they quickly sent me a replacement control board and boot too (it failed again and this time drying it out didn’t help).
