So I got everything set up yesterday with the THC and a IPTM60 machine torch. I made some nice test cuts last night and it worked great. Without making any changes, I went to use it today and it just blows air. I’m using a Bestarc BTC500XP. Any ideas?

The electrode must move up with your finger and snap down.
Make sure you have 75 psi to the torch while it’s cutting. Not 60 or 50, 75…
This torch is mounted correctly.
Yes, you are squeezing the pilot arc plunger inside. Loosen the bottom clamp and make sure the electrode moves like the video

Electrode was fine, I repositioned the torch and increased psi to torch to 75. Same issue. It just blows air. Does the same when manually firing the torch from fire control.

I have no experience with the BestArc machine. Do you have a hand torch? If so, will it fire by hand?
If it’s blowing air, it getting a signal from FireControl.

He can walk you through testing of the cutter.

Sorry to say his plasma cutter has bit the dirt. He has a new one on the way. Hope he has better luck with the new one.

I have some of his consumables already. I just didn’t want to use the good stuff while making sure everything is working. I appreciate all your help @mechanic416 I got a lot of good info on that call.
