A new failure mode. This one has some health and safety potentials.
I thought I would follow the advise of the wise and go for a simple file to test run. I selected “Throwing knife for test cutting” by Kitter.
Several things happened at once when I told FireControl to upload the program; The FireControl screen blurred out, the torch fired and the program commenced. Needless to say I was not at zero position nor was my PPE ready. If by some chance my hands were near the torch this could have been really bad.
Anybody else see this? I’ll try to reenact the situation and try to capture on video.
Fortunately the Z height control was high enough to not damage the metal.
Subsequent resetting to normal XYZ zeros gave adequate cuts. So I should be happy that I have had One Successful Part.
